This momma braved 30 degree weather and snow flurries on the day of her maternity session. It was literally freezing and she put on the biggest smile and we made the most of it. It was such a pleasure meeting these guys and photographing them together before their son was born. I felt terrible about the weather but we still got some gorgeous images of the two of them during their Seattle maternity session.

I think I photographed this little guy over 2 years ago. He was the tiniest little peanut and an amazing little sleeper with a gorgeous full head of hair. We used an earthy neutral pallet for styling and the chocolate tones were the perfect compliment to his little features.
I actually really love looking back and seeing these old galleries and reminiscing of the families I’ve met in the past. I had the privilege of photographing their maternity session before their son was born which gave me an extra opportunity to get to know them.

It feels so strange to get back to blogging sessions that were photographed so long ago. This sweet family was referred to me by my studio mate back when I shared a studio with her in Issaquah. She has been photographing this family for years but when it came time for a newborn session, she referred them to me. Little Miss Leona and her gorgeous little features; I loved the pink and cream tones we used throughout her session. Although I think she would have looked amazing in any color. My studio has since moved to downtown Renton and for anyone who ever came to the Issaquah space, the new studio is about 5 times the size, so definitely nice and comfortable for larger families. I remember this gorgeous family and it feels like yesterday when they came in for their daughter’s newborn session. It’s crazy to think that so much time has passed since the day I took these photos! Momma chose the color purple to incorporate into the session and of course I had to bring in some fresh flowers to compliment the set ups. She was the sweetest, tiniest little thing.
