Small Group Newborn Mentoring Workshop

I had the privilege of hosting a small group of newborn photographers in my studio back in March for a Newborn Mentoring Workshop. During our day together, we had three newborn models come in. The first was a family with a newborn, the second was for our beanbag posing flow, and the third was for newborn wrapping and posing in props. I don’t think our day couldn’t gone more perfectly. Not only did we have amazing babies and families, I had an awesome group of photographers who I will be able to watch grow and hone their skills going forward.

Amelia | One Year Bellevue Baby Photographer

Miss Amelia came in for her one year session earlier this year. This sweetheart was the tiniest little ball of energy. I loved her gorgeous brown eyes and adorable little smiles. She even showed me some of her favorite dance moves! We don’t always do a cake smash session for milestones but momma wanted to do one for this little princess. She brought the most adorable little cake with her, too. Her session was the perfect combination of simple and colorful and I had the best time meeting Amelia and her family.

It’s true that I don’t photograph a ton of milestone sessions, but on occasion, I do have a few come through the studio! Please contact us for more information on scheduling your milestone session in our Issaquah studio.

Aren | Seattle Newborn Photography

I would like to introduce you to Aren. He has to be one of the calmest, awake newborns that I have ever photographed. I’m pretty sure he didn’t sleep for a second during his newborn session; in fact, any photos you see of him with his eyes closed were just brief moments when he blinked! But it was okay that he was awake because he was super chill and calm, and when he look at me, he really looked AT me! Most newborns aren’t able to see more than a couple inches in front of their face but this little guy was able to track pretty well. I was even able to get a few stunning images of him looking directly into the camera.

Seattle Seahawks Newborn Session with Earl Thomas

When I got the phone call from momma saying she was having her second baby girl in a few months and would like to schedule a newborn photo session, I had no idea that she was the wife of Earl Thomas, one of the best NFL defensive players on the planet. I actually had no clue until it came time to schedule their session. Of course when I found out, I was pretty dang excited to have the privilege of photographing their beautiful growing family.

Not only were their girls absolutely beautiful, they really were an awesome family to work with. So kind and friendly. I love meeting my clients and hearing their stories! Momma brought in daddy’s football helmet and told me she really wanted to a photo of Kamila in it. I wasn’t totally sure how I was going to do it, but we made it happen and I loved the way it came out.
