It was such a privilege working with the Thomas family again, photographing their newest son, Veee’s newborn session. He was such a beautiful little boy with a gorgeous head or hair and the sweetest little facial expressions. He even flashed me a few little smiles during his session.

Anytime I book a maternity session, I make sure to let my clients know that they have full access to my gorgeous gown collection from Sew Trendy Accessories. I own several gowns in varying colors, styles and sizes which gives my clients the freedom from having to purchase expensive gowns on their own. I always recommend coming into the studio before the session so clients can see the collection, try on different gowns, and select their wardrobe for the day of the shoot. Miss Hadley was 5 weeks fresh when she came in for her newborn session. While I usually photograph babies somewhere around the 2 week range, on occasion I have babies come in that are a little bit older. I explain to parents that because baby is a little older, it’s likely they will be much more awake and alert. It’s also a bit more challenging to get those sleepy, curlier poses. But Hadley proved me wrong! Not only did she cooperate for all the sleepy curly poses, she even had a nice streak of wide awake time when I was able to capture some gorgeous eye-open images of her staring right at me.

Whenever a baby that I’ve photographed comes back to the studio for a milestone portrait session, I’m always blown away by how much they’ve grown since I last saw them. Caden was such a tiny little peanut when he came to iii for his newborn session so seeing him again a year later, I couldn’t believe how much he had grown! I swear he was even taller than I expected him to be. He was so adorable and completely full of personality. I loved getting to see this family again.

Loving all the light neutrals from Brooks’ newborn session. This little man was right around 5 weeks old when he came in for his session. I remember telling mom and dad that it was likely he would be fairly awake and alert and because he was a bit older than most babies I photograph, he may not be as easy to pose. Well, let me tell you, this little guy made a liar out of me!
