Looking at this gallery shows me just how far behind I am on posting sessions to my website. I created a beautiful Christmas composite image for Makai’s session because he was born right around the holidays… which makes me about 10 months late in sharing! I’ll admit though, it’s fun to look back and remember meeting his incredible momma and grandma and this sweet little man. They sure are a gorgeous little family!

I have a deep love for babies, it’s true. And any day that I get to snuggle a baby is better than any day that I don’t. When this adorable baby girl came through my studio doors, I did a little squeal of joy at the sight of her full head of gorgeous dark hair. She fought me for a few minutes on sleeping and then caved in the end. So many beautiful images from her gallery, and I love the soft romantic colors. She gave us some pretty fun facial expressions, too!

I absolutely love photographing Fresh 48 Sessions. There is something so special about being a part of a family’s first days with their brand new little one and being able to capture some of the very first moments of them together. In case you don’t know, a Fresh 48 Session is one that is photographed after the birth of a baby, before the baby has been released from the hospital. I believe Cici was just under 24 hours old when I went into their room to photograph her session. These sessions usually last about 30 minutes and are photographed using the natural light and environment in the hospital room.
