It’s always such an honor when clients come back to me with their newest additions. I had the privilege of photographing their first son when he was born. Seeing him a few years later with his big boy clothes and his ginormous smiles absolutely melted my heart! They are such an amazing family and their household is going to be filled with so many wonderful memories raising these two adorable boys.

Anytime I get to photograph a client’s maternity session, it gives me a wonderful opportunity to get to know them on a better level. I get to see their love for one another and hear about their vision for the newborn session. When these two came to see me for their maternity session, it was literally snowing outside! I’ll admit, this session was photographed quite some time ago and I have been really horrible about getting sessions added to my blog but hopefully the wait was worth it. Little Max couldn’t have been more adorable with his beautiful little features and gorgeous head of hair. I was even lucky enough to capture some images of him with his eyes wide open!

Ciara | Seattle Maternity Photographer

Photographing maternity sessions outdoors in the winter time can be a challenge. For one, it’s super cold outside. Second, the lush greenery that we have most of the year has died and turned brown. And last, RAIN. It’s usually rainy and dreary and it gets darker earlier so we lose light faster. But Ciara’s maternity session was an anomaly. Don’t get me wrong, it was cold. And the greenery was mostly dead. But her beautiful goddess self and the gorgeous light we had certainly didn’t disappoint. She looked stunning in everything she wore and she was an amazing client to work with.

Meadow | Renton Newborn Photographer

When I met momma for her maternity session, she told me she had a very special name picked out for her baby girl but she wanted to wait to share it until after she was born. When she reached out to let me know that sweet little Meadow had made it earth side, I was elated! Such a beautiful and unique name – and when I got to meet her in person, I realized it truly was the most perfect name for her.

Momma wanted to use some vintage pinks and soft whites for Meadow’s newborn session so that’s what we did. I love how the colors all blend beautifully together and provide a gorgeous, cohesive gallery. Here are a few of my favorites!

Yen | Tacoma Maternity Photographer

Gorgeous Yen was a vision in green and red for her outdoor maternity photoshoot. Expecting mothers are so unbelievably beautiful that it would be a shame not to get yourself photographed while pregnant. You are only pregnant a few months in your whole life, and it should absolutely be captured.
