Capturing family moments is such an important part of what I do. Even though Avery’s big sister really didn’t want to pose for the camera, we were still able to get a few images of the four of them together. Images that capture their oldest daughter’s personality at that time in her life perfectly. 😉
When families come in with older children, we spend the first half of the session focused on getting those family images. Afterward, dad usually takes the other children out for a bit while I finish up the remainder of the session photographing baby by themselves. Gilman Village has lots of stores on site where dads can take their little ones to walk around and explore. There is even a coffee shop on site with a child friendly play area, so dad can grab a cup of joe and relax.
Here is a little peek into Avery’s newborn session.
Jameson has been coming to me since he was still a little bean inside his momma’s belly. I photographed his momma’s maternity session and their gorgeous property, his newborn session in my old studio, his 4 month session in my studio, and now we’ve just wrapped up his 8 month session. It has been so fun watching this family grow and seeing this little man’s personality come to life before the camera.

Little Ledger’s parents requested earthy neutrals for his session. Creams, tans, browns… everything was styled with that color palette in mind. I love the timeless look of a neutral session and the cream backdrops look so good on every baby. Ledger was no exception.

The neutral color palette momma chose complimented her beautiful skin tones and features so well. And her hair… I almost died! It was such a pleasure meeting this family and photographing their gorgeous little girl.

i believe...
every photograph tells a story. capturing moments that would otherwise be forgotten. moments that can not be replicated or reproduced. moments that that are unique in meaning to every person who sees them. moments that you can not get back.
a photograph allows you the opportunity to relive those moments over and over again. these moments shape the story of our lives, and everyone has a story to tell.
let me help you tell yours.
