Issaquah newborn photographer Dawn Potter specializes in baby photography for her clients in Seattle and the surrounding areas.

I have been photographing this family for a few years now. I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful momma when she was pregnant with her first baby girl. Her maternity session in the snow was truly breathtaking! I then photographed her baby girl’s newborn session after she was born a few short weeks later and continued to photograph her daughter for her milestones leading up to her one year cake smash!

When they were expecting baby number two, I was honored to be chosen to capture these special memories for their family once again. We did a mini-maternity session for her in the middle of winter when the sun in all it’s glory decided to come out in full force for a gorgeous golden light glow. Which led us to this beautiful little boy’s newborn session. It’s truly been such a joy to watch this family grow! Here are some of my favorites from this Issaquah newborn session.

Mount Rainier Family Sessions in August NOW BOOKING

Mount Rainier Summer sessions are now available! I’m only offering a couple of dates and a handful of time slots so please don’t wait until too long to reserve your spot! The location is a little more than an hour east of Enumclaw and I’m expecting the wild flowers to be in full bloom. These sessions are photographed in the later hours of the day to give us the best light possible. I’m sharing a few recent photos taken from the location so you can get a feel for the environment and gorgeous scenery.

Up to 40 minutes photography time for families up to 6 people ($175 value)

20 edited high resolution digital images on USB ($795 value)

Wooden keepsake box with 20 5×7 photographic prints ($495 value)

Winter Family Session | Issaquah family photographer

When I set up this winter family session, I wanted the family to be aware of just how cold it would be outside. I think the morning of the shoot, it was barely hovering above freezing. Fortunately for us, the light was absolutely gorgeous and it truly was the perfect day to photograph their little family. They had a son who was just 2 months old at the time. They bundled him up so perfectly that he was really quite content being out in the cold weather! I love the way we were able to capture some beautifully candid moments along with those traditional posed portraits that most families seem to love. Here are a few of my favorites from this winter family session!

New Baby Girl | Newborn Photography Seattle

When this momma contacted me to photograph her new baby girl, I was over the moon! You see, I had photographed their son when he was just a newborn right after I started my business, so this was my very first ‘second baby’. And the session did not disappoint! Little Ben had grown up so much since I had last seen him. He was very excited to be a big brother and he was so cooperative for the camera. His gorgeous eyes peered up and me as he snuggled his new baby sister closely. I couldn’t have asked for a more precious moment. Little Olivia had the most beautiful features, too. And momma loved the pops of color we incorporated into her session. I’m sharing a few of my favorites (which, as always, was hard to choose!)

Smiling Baby Boy | Issaquah Baby Photographer

A smiling baby melts my heart like no other. Especially when they flash those little smiles when they’re curled up next to momma. The parents usually don’t even know it’s happening and when they see all their photos for the first time, it melts their heart, too! Sweet little Luke has the most amazing little family. His big sister is his protector. It was obvious from the moment I met her that she was going to be the best big sister in the world. She was a natural when it came to holding him. And her eyes… let me tell you… sooooo pretty! I had a lot of favorites from their session so I tried my best to narrow them down. Hope you love them as much as I do!
