You guys are going to DIE when you see this dreamy momma with her natural maternal glow in the photos I’m about to post. There is something so amazing and beautiful about pregnancy. Of course, when we’re pregnant and carrying around our basketball bellies, we aren’t feeling all that beautiful! In fact, I think it would be safe to assume that many women probably can’t wait to get those little bundles of joy out of their bellies and into their arms for more reasons than one. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, this woman is absolutely gorgeous! We have been friends for a long time and I was absolutely flattered when she chose to hire me to capture her maternal glow.

Her photos were done just about an hour before sunset on one of the last days of summer and the weather could not have been any better. She even climbed knee deep into the river so we could get some photos of her in the water! I’m only sharing a few of our favorites from her session but I think you’ll agree with me… dreamy momma indeed! I absolutely can not wait to photograph her little girl in the next few months.

There have only been a handful of times when I have held a brand new baby who was hovering around the 10 lb mark. Most of those times were with my own children! When this sweet baby girl came to see me, she was just barely under 10 lbs and had the fullest head of hair! I had so much fun capturing all of her adorable little rolls and squishiness. Her sister came along to help mom and let me tell you, this trio of ladies is absolutely stunning! (Of course, you’ll see just how beautiful they are in the photos below.) World, say hello to sweet baby Madison!

Baby Boy B | 7 days new {Maple Valley Newborn Photographer}

Baby boy, Bennett and his mom and dad came to see me a couple of weeks ago so I could take some photos of him outdoors before our beautiful northwest weather turned to cold and rain. It was a gorgeous 80+ degree weekend and I needed to take advantage! But before we took him outdoors, we snuck in some photos of him in his super sleepy state. This little guy was just over 8 lbs and he seriously had the most adorable chunky little cheeks I have ever seen!

The little guy slept like a dream pretty much the entire two hours he was here. We got some great images for mom and dad, both in the studio and outside! Say hello to little Bennett and all 8.5 lbs of his cuteness.

Boy Girl Twins | Maple Valley newborn photographer

Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing my very first set of boy girl twins! Cash and Remington were born at 30 weeks, making them 10 weeks early! When they came in to see me, they were 10.5 weeks old and still so tiny. These little premies were barely over 7 lbs … at 10.5 weeks! We spent about 2.5 hours together. I worked quite a bit with Cash; he was a terrific little sleeper. And because Remington was just a tad smaller, I posed her around him, using him as her support. It was truly amazing to see. Remington would get grouchy and start to cry and almost as soon as she was next to her brother, she settled and would fall asleep. We even managed to get a few smiles out of the little ones! Who doesn’t LOVE a newborn baby smile? Especially from boy girl twins! I’m sharing some of the photos from their session with one goal in mind… to make your heart melt, just like mine did. Let the swooning begin!

Wide Awake | Baby J | 16 days {Maple Valley newborn photographer}

Little J was just barely over 5 lbs at birth and maybe around 6 when he came to see me last Sunday. He had the tiniest little features. Even his finger nails were dainty on his long thin fingers! He had the most adorable big eyes that stared right at me through most of his session. I have had babies that didn’t sleep much but this little guy didn’t sleep for even one minute! It was okay though, cause even though he was wide awake, he didn’t make a peep. He just gazed around, checking things out, making sure he wasn’t missing anything. 🙂 As a photographer, I’m mentally wired to go for the ‘sleepy, curly poses’, but as a mom, it’s those wide awake, eyes wide open shots that we always love the most! I sent this little man’s gallery off to his momma today 🙂
