Josephine | Puyallup Newborn Baby Photographer

I love being a Puyallup newborn baby photographer! I recently had the privilege of photographing an adorable tiny little baby girl who is the daughter of someone that I have known for a very long time. It was such a pleasure meeting the family and snuggling this little sweetheart. I decided to share some favorites from her session and have only chosen black and white images since I rarely show them and I love how they all came out. We incorporated some soft colors that converted beautifully to black and white and they deserve to be seen.

Camilla | Seattle’s Best Newborn Photographers

Camilla came in for her mini wrapped newborn session when she was 7 weeks old. I don’t photograph wrapped newborn sessions very often, but they’re perfect for babies that are just outside of the timeframe when I typically photograph babies. Wrapped sessions are for baby only, with limited setups, and usually last about 45 minutes. Miss Camilla’s session was truly perfect. I was able to take some detailed photos of her beautiful little features, and overall capture a stunning variety of images. I’m sharing a few of my favorites below including macro photos which I now take during every session and some black and whites that I’m starting to fall more and more in love with.

Nevaeh | Seattle, Washington Newborn Photographer

I always like to begin my newborn portrait sessions by photographing the family. I do this for a couple of reasons. One, the heat. I like to keep it nice and warm in my studio to keep babies comfortable when they’re in their birthday suits so the studio tends to get warmer as the session goes on. By photographing the family first, it allows clients to get comfortable for the duration of the session. Two, it’s a great way to get the baby nice and comfortable. It also determines the session flow. Either we start with naked poses or we start with wrapped poses and then things move along from there. Whenever I meet a new family, if there aren’t any other siblings, I ask if they would prefer to have the baby naked or wrapped for the family portion. Little miss Nevaeh was perfectly content being all snuggled with mom and dad in her birthday suit. She slept so good for the rest of her session and gave us a beautiful gallery of images. I loved the little angel wings that they brought in to use during the session, too. The colors we used were absolutely perfect. Sharing a few of my favorites below. Lyla | Best Newborn Photographers in Seattle

Before every newborn photography session, I ask my clients to fill out a pre-session questionnaire so I can get an idea of what their goals are for their session. I like to know if there are certain colors they would like to incorporate, and almost as important if there are colors they want to avoid.  This momma wanted some soft pinks and lavender and she gave me the idea to include fresh flowers as well. It had been a long time since I used flowers in a newborn session and I kind of love the way everything came together. We started the session photographing miss Lyla with her big brother, went right into capturing photos of the whole family, and then I finished photographing Lyla on her own. Even though she peeped her eyes open a few times throughout, she pretty much slept the entire time. Sharing a few of my favorites from her session below. You can find a before and after of the bucket shot on my Instagram in the reels section.  Voted one of the “Best Newborn Photographers in Seattle” more than 4 years in a row by Expertise. Miles | Tacoma Baby Photographer

One of the best things about meeting new clients is getting to know them and hearing their personal stories and the little details of their lives.  For this family, it was all about the mini cooper – which also happens to be this little man’s nickname. Momma even brought a little car to the session so we could include it in a few of the photos. Sharing a few of my favorites below.  I loved how the little dude slept so good right up until the end when he popped his little eyes open and gave me a few photos where he was staring right at me!  I think the eye open shots are always the best.
